Terms of Service

1. What ShareAI is

ShareAI is a marketplace that connects people who want to use AI with independent contributors who run AI models on their own machines. ShareAI operates no AI models of its own and acts solely as a technical intermediary between users and contributors — it is not a party to the inference and is not an account-sharing service. The service is provided "as is", without warranty of availability, fitness, or specific output quality.

2. Accounts & sign-in

You sign in by connecting a crypto wallet and signing a message; your wallet is your identity. Keep your wallet and its keys secure — anyone controlling your wallet can access your account, and we cannot recover or reset access on your behalf.

3. Balance & payments

• You top up a prepaid balance by sending USDC on the Base network. Balance is credited only against deposits actually verified on-chain.
• You are charged per request based on the price set by the serving contributor plus the platform fee; the exact amount is shown after each answer.
• There is no right to a payout of your balance in fiat currency. Refund handling is described on the Withdrawal & Refunds page.
• Crypto transactions are technically irreversible. Sending the wrong token or using the wrong network can cause unrecoverable loss, which you bear.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use the service to generate or distribute unlawful content, to infringe rights, or to abuse the platform or contributors. We may suspend access for suspected abuse. Report abuse to abuse@shareai.website.

5. Privacy of your prompts

Your prompts are processed on a contributor's machine to generate answers. The worker software does not log them and contributors agree not to inspect or retain them, but local inference cannot cryptographically guarantee this — do not submit secrets or sensitive data. See the Privacy Policy.

6. ShareAI is an intermediary only — no liability

ShareAI is purely a technical intermediary that connects users with independent contributors. It is not a party to the inference, provides no AI models or output of its own, and does not control or supervise contributors. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ShareAI and its operator accept no liability whatsoever — including for generated content, contributor conduct or availability, service interruptions, exposure of prompt data on contributors' machines, or any loss arising from blockchain transactions or wallet/key mismanagement. You use the service at your own risk. (Liability that cannot be excluded by mandatory law — e.g. for intent or gross negligence — remains unaffected.)

7. Contributor program

If you contribute capacity by running a local model through the shareai-worker program, you additionally agree:

• Generation only — no actions on your machine. Your node is used purely to generate text. It must never execute tools, commands, file/network operations, or any other action on your (the host's) machine. If a request uses the model "as an agent", any resulting execution happens exclusively on the requesting user's side — never on your machine. The official worker performs generation only.
• You must not read or retain the chats. Your machine receives prompt content only to run it locally. You must not store, log, inspect, share, or otherwise use that content beyond producing the single response, and you must comply with applicable data-protection law.
• You set your own per-token prices and earn for the requests you serve, paid out in USDC on Base to the wallet you sign in with (or one you configure). There is no entitlement to a specific payout amount, frequency, or routing volume.
• Payouts are irreversible blockchain transactions. An incorrect payout address can cause unrecoverable loss — you bear this risk.
• You are responsible for the cost, legality, licensing, electricity, and bandwidth of the models and hardware you run. Some open-weight licences restrict commercial/paid serving — ensure your model permits it.
• The worker connects outbound to ShareAI; keep its token secret and revoke it any time. ShareAI may stop routing to, or deactivate, a worker at any time without notice.

8. Changes

We may update these terms and the platform fee, prices, and parameters over time. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance. [Operator/lawyer: confirm change-notification requirements.]
