Our principle: data minimisation

ShareAI works without an email address or traditional account. You sign in by connecting a crypto wallet and signing a message — your wallet address is your pseudonymous identity. This minimises personal data, but it does not make usage fully anonymous: a wallet address and its on-chain activity are public and may be linked to you by third parties.

Data we process

• Wallet address — your identifier for signing in, your balance, and (for contributors) payouts.
• Balance & transaction ledger — deposits, charges, and payouts in USDC.
• Chat content — your prompts and the answers, stored so you can revisit conversations, until you delete them.
• Technical log data — e.g. IP address and request metadata, for security and abuse prevention.
• On-chain transactions — deposits and payouts are public blockchain transactions on Base and are permanently, publicly auditable; this is outside our control.

Who can see your prompts

To answer a request, your prompt is sent to the contributor whose machine serves it, so their hardware can generate the response. The official worker software does not log or store prompt content, and contributors agree in our Terms not to inspect or retain it. However, because inference runs on someone else's hardware, this cannot be cryptographically guaranteed — do not submit secrets, credentials, or sensitive personal data. ShareAI itself does not run AI models and does not send your prompts to any central AI provider in local-only mode.

Legal bases

Processing is based on performance of the service you request (contract) and our legitimate interest in operating it securely. [Operator/lawyer: confirm the applicable legal bases for your jurisdiction.]

Retention

Retention periods for chat history, server logs, failed invoices, and audit logs are configurable and enforced by automated cleanup jobs (CHAT_RETENTION_DAYS, FAILED_INVOICE_RETENTION_DAYS, AUDIT_LOG_RETENTION_DAYS). You can delete your conversations at any time.

Recipients & processors

Independent contributors (to serve your requests), our hosting/infrastructure provider, and the public Base blockchain. [Operator: list your hosting provider and any data-processing agreements.]

Your rights

Subject to applicable law you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact: abuse@shareai.website. Note that on-chain data cannot be deleted.
